10 November 2017, Marang- Universiti Putra Malaysia through University Community Transformation Center (UCTC UPM) in collaboration with the Department of Veterinary Services(DVS) initiated a strategic partnership through the collaboration of development programs for DVS Terengganu's staff training and local breeders.
This program aims at the participation of frontliner and broiler breeders and dairy breeders in Terengganu. This collaborative program focuses on the nutrition and management aspects that include ruminant nutrition, characteristics and nutrient requirements according to the choice of ruminant and growth level, livestock breeding health, common diseases in ruminant farming, special treatment methods for livestock diseases and preventive measures .Livestock's biosecurity management aspects also be emphasized.
To ensure the effectiveness of program for participants and organizations, UPM / DVS expert will do the regular visits and advisory services for 3 months and 6 months after program implementation to ensure sustainability and high impact programs (4 to 5 stars).
